Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Kagibag collects, uses, shares, and protects information when people use our event platform, public event pages, checkout, attendee tools, sponsor and booth tools, organizer dashboards, websites, and related services.

Kagibag is used by organizers to run events. Organizers may also collect and use attendee information for their events. When an organizer provides their own privacy policy, that policy may also apply to their use of attendee information.

The English version of this Privacy Policy controls if a translated version says something different. Our Terms of Service explain the legal terms for using Kagibag.

Information we collect

Platform data

We collect information needed to run events, sell tickets, and protect the platform.

  • Account and profile information: name, email address, phone number, company, job title, bio, photo, social links, accessibility or dietary notes you choose to provide, and login details.
  • Organizer and event information: team details, event pages, schedules, venues, speakers, sponsors, booth setup, attendee lists, ticket types, promo codes, and event communications.
  • Checkout and payment information: tickets, orders, refunds, receipts, billing details, payment status, taxes, fees, and limited payment metadata from our payment processors. Kagibag does not store full card numbers.
  • Attendee participation information: registrations, check-ins, QR codes, badge scans, booth leads, contact exchanges, survey answers, messages, and preferences.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, approximate location, cookies, and similar technologies.
  • Support and safety information: messages you send us, abuse reports, identity or fraud checks, and records needed to enforce our policies.

How we use information

We use information for practical platform purposes.

  • Create and manage accounts, teams, events, tickets, orders, check-in, attendee profiles, sponsor and booth workflows, and event communications.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, handle refunds, prevent fraud, and keep financial records.
  • Show attendees event content, tickets, schedules, badges, QR codes, networking tools, and organizer updates.
  • Help organizers understand event performance, attendance, marketing, leads, and audience engagement.
  • Provide support, troubleshoot problems, improve Kagibag, test new features, and measure platform reliability.
  • Protect Kagibag, organizers, attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and the public from spam, abuse, security threats, illegal activity, and policy violations.
  • Comply with law, tax, accounting, dispute, chargeback, and regulatory obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of that phrase. We share information when it is needed to operate events, provide Kagibag, or meet legal obligations.

  • With organizers and their teams: attendees, buyers, speakers, sponsors, booth staff, and event contacts may be visible to the organizer running the event.
  • With attendees and event participants: profile information, public event content, attendee networking details, or check-in status may be shown when you choose to participate in those features.
  • With sponsors and exhibitors: when you scan, share a badge, submit a form, or otherwise choose to interact with a booth or sponsor, your information may be shared with that sponsor or exhibitor.
  • With service providers: payment processors, hosting providers, email and SMS providers, analytics tools, fraud prevention vendors, support tools, and similar vendors may process information for us.
  • For legal and safety reasons: we may share information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, prevent harm, or protect rights and safety.
  • Business changes: if Kagibag is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Organizer responsibilities

Organizers decide many details about their events, including what information they request from attendees, how they communicate with attendees, who can access event data, and whether sponsors or exhibitors receive lead information.

Organizers must use attendee information lawfully, provide any notices required for their event, honor unsubscribe and consent choices, and avoid collecting sensitive information unless they have a clear need and legal basis.

Your choices and rights

You can update many account and profile details in Kagibag. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or changing available communication settings. Some transactional event messages, such as receipts or ticket updates, may still be sent when needed.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain uses of your personal information. To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security and retention

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, backups, and vendor review. No online service can promise perfect security.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Kagibag, run events, support organizers and attendees, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. Retention periods vary by data type and context.

Children

Kagibag is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Events for minors may require extra organizer notices, permissions, and safeguards.

International use and translations

Kagibag may process and store information in the United States, Japan, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have different privacy laws than where you live.

We provide translations to make this policy easier to read. The English version is the controlling version if there is any conflict or uncertainty.
